About Us

Set up in 2001, CYMAZ is a children and young people’s charity delivering and facilitating high quality music making, radio and performance opportunities.  CYMAZ believes in the power of music to transform lives and communities and works with a range of partner agencies across Cornwall to ensure that music making and performance opportunities are available and accessible. CYMAZ relies on partnerships and income generation through its services in order to improve both musical and social outcomes for children and young people and ensure that as many young people as possible can benefit from the transformative power of music.

CYMAZ aims to support the development of a Young People’s Music and Radio Network by:

• Delivering high quality music activity across the county as well as extending our reach to isolated rural communities with mobile resources
• Increasing progression and performance opportunities for young people in partnership with venues and other agencies/organisations
• Developing CYMAZ Internet Radio Station and website run by and for young people
• Developing a range of services to ensure the sustainability of CYMAZ
