As part of Splanna!, we organised and filmed a flashmob on the Piazza in Truro on Saturday 20th November. The final film will form part of the Splanna! performance on Tuesday 30th November at Hall for Cornwall but you can see a sneak peek here, courtesy of the This is Cornwall website.

Splanna! is an exciting new production created with talented young people from across Cornwall, to be performed at Hall for Cornwall on 30th November. CYMAZ is working in collaboration with Rogue Theatre, Claire Ingleheart & Richard Hume, C-Scape Dance Company, Seamas Carey and Callum Mitchell to produce this new show which promises to be edgy, provocative and inspirational.

Young performers involved in CYMAZ projects will be performing at Eden tonight, 5th November, to promote the brand new show called Splanna! being created for Hall for Cornwall on 30th November 2010. This brand new CYMAZ production, supported by Rogue Theatre, C-Scape Dance Company, Claire Ingleheart and up and coming writer Callum Mitchell and musician Seamas Carey.
With a soaring and epic brand new score; Splanna! brings together a unique team of some of Cornwall’s finest musicians and performers to tell a fast paced tale about each and every one of us in a one-off show guaranteed to inspire.
This is a story about having a dream and how, every now and then; something can change your life!
Splanna! promises to be an eye-opening, spine-tingling, mind-blowing, rhyme-mingling, hand-clapping, chest-thumping, toe-tapping, sweat-pumping, breath-taking, crowd-pleasing, heart-stopping proud feeling, that knows no limitations. Splanna! is to shine and illuminate the globe, by realising our own aspirations.

Tonight is our Live Launch event from Livewire Youth Music Project at 7pm.
The event will feature live performances from April Lights, Rosina Russell and Gwilym Evans presented by young hosts Meg, Bryn and Ross from the CYMAZ Radio team. Plus there’ll be highlights from the CYMAZ Radio podcasts made this year, all in front of an audience of approximately 200 young people and invited VIPs!

Monday 1st November Launch event at Humphry Davy School (Penzance) for 400 pupils & staff, including a live performance from the winners of Humprhy Davy’s Got Talent, certificate presentation and highlights of new radio content. In the evening we’re also appearing on The Source FM on the Inside Local Music show.
Wednesday 3rd November CYMAZ Radio’s Live launch at Livewire Youth Centre (Saltash) featuring four live bands, highlights of new shows and an audience of approximately 200 young people, invited VIPs and Press. For the first time, we’ll be broadcasting this event live on the internet between 7 & 8pm !
Friday 5th November CYMAZ pop in to Radio St Austell Bay to appear on the Drive Time show with highlights from the Livewire event and chat about the launch week.
From Wednesday 27 October to Wednesday 3 November 2010 it is national Youth Music Week. Now in its 5th (and fabulous) year, Youth Music Week puts young people’s music making on the map.
As part of the celebration, during the week CYMAZ Radio is officially launching to the world, culminating in a live broadcast from (appropriately enough) Livewire Youth Music Project in Saltash.
