Auditions for Splanna!, our musical and visual spectacular at the Hall for Cornwall are taking place this weekend in St Austell.

The next CYMAZ Annual General Meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday 13th October 2010 at Crusader House, Newham Road, Truro, TR1 2DP.

Kernow Education Arts Partnership (KEAP) and CYMAZ have succeeded in winning Big Mediabox Contract funding of £40,000 to support disadvantaged young people in Cornwall use media to tell their stories or highlight the issues that are important to them.

Radio Trainers (Freelance)
CYMAZ is launching CYMAZ Radio, an internet radio station run by and for young people in Cornwall. We are seeking professionals who will deliver our training programme to teams of young people across the county. We are developing CYMAZ Radio Hubs in a range of settings where groups of young people receive training and are supported to take the lead once the training course is completed. There will be three CYMAZ Radio Hubs in Learning Disability Centres and one in Illogan Youth Centre starting from October with the possibility of more Hubs being created beyond that. The CYMAZ team are now all back from their hols and getting straight back into things in St Austell on Wednesday. We will be attending the Youth Fest at The House Youth Centre in St Austell, working with young reporters from our radio hub there to gather more content for future CYMAZ Radio podcasts and providing our traditional “Green Room” hospitality for the young musicians performing there.
It’s not just live music, however – other attractions include skate ramps, a DJ Workshop and a barbeque, so come along between 12 pm and 8 pm and join in the fun.
You can find The House on Carlyon Road, a short distance from the railway station and next door to Polkyth Leisure Centre.
Please note that the CYMAZ Offices will be closed for annual holidays from 4:30 pm on Tuesday 10th August until 9:00 am on Monday 23rd August and we will deal with any e-mails and messages as quickly as possible when we return on the 23rd.
