The CYMAZ team are now all back from their hols and getting straight back into things in St Austell on Wednesday.  We will be attending the Youth Fest at The House Youth Centre in St Austell, working with young reporters from our radio hub there to gather more content for future CYMAZ Radio podcasts and providing our traditional “Green Room” hospitality for the young musicians performing there. 

It’s not just live music, however – other attractions include skate ramps, a DJ Workshop and a barbeque,  so come along between 12 pm and 8 pm and join in the fun.

You can find The House on Carlyon Road, a short distance from the railway station and next door to Polkyth Leisure Centre.

Please note that the CYMAZ Offices will be closed for annual holidays from 4:30 pm on Tuesday 10th August until 9:00 am on Monday 23rd August and we will deal with any e-mails and messages as quickly as possible when we return on the 23rd.

CYMAZ have been at Kernow Live in Boscawen Park, Truro today and we’ve recorded some great performances and interviews with artists who were playing there today.    Look out for the CYMAZ Radio @ Kernow Live podcast in the next couple of weeks.

Kernow Live is Cornwall’s new Cultural Youth Festival.  It aims to celebrate the diversity of Cornwall’s Culture, Sport and Art by bringing children and young people together to share their ideas, achievements and projects.  Kernow Live provides young people with opportunities for inclusive participation and work experience in the cultural sector. 

It’s a fantastic day out for all the family with Live Music, Dance and Circus Acts, Great Food and Drink, Fair Rides, Stalls and Fun for all kind of kids – Big and Small! 

This year there is a tented arena covering the main stage to make sure the music and fun stays dry and a groovy Green Zone with interactive Arts and Crafts workshops!

The CYMAZ team will be at Kernow Live on the afternoon of Friday 6th, recording and interviewing young performers for CYMAZ Radio so please feel free to drop in and say hi!

The first podcast of the CYMAZ Radio highlights of the Twenty Five Stage at the Port Eliot Festival 2010 is now available to listen to on the Radio Podcast page on this website and our CYMAZ Radio Facebook page.

Inside Local Music on The Source FM – Monday 26th July 2010

We are currently compiling highlights programmes from the weekend, so keep an eye out for them over the next few days on the Radio Podcast page on this website and our CYMAZ Radio Facebook page.

The CYMAZ team have just got back from the Port Eliot Festival today after a wonderful weekend of music, fun and sun (and a bit of rain too!)   The young artists who performed at the Twenty Five Tent were all fantastic and we got hours and hours of great performance and interview recordings from them.  We’ll be adding these to our CYMAZ Radio Facebook page over the next few days so please go there and have a listen and give all these talented young guys the recognition they deserve.  If you like what you hear (which you almost certainly will!), please give young people’s music in Cornwall your support by joining our group.

CYMAZ Radio has also just featured on The Source FM radio station this evening, with lots of content from the Port Eliot Festival.   If you missed the broadcast, we’ll be posting the ‘Listen Again’ link for you later in the week when they upload it to their website so you can hear it then.

CYMAZ is delighted to be working with Rogue Theatre at the Port Eliot Festival this weekend, running the Green Room by the 25 Tent.    We’d love you to drop in and say Hi if you are at the festival; if not we aim to post regular festival updates on the website and CYMAZ Radio Facebook page over the weekend.

As all our staff will be at Port Eliot it means that there will be no-one in the CYMAZ offices from Thursday 22nd to Monday 26th July inclusive.   Please feel free to e-mail us or leave a message on the answermachine and we’ll deal with it as soon as we get back.   In the case of an emergency you’ll be able to get hold of the team on 07791 744718.

CYMAZ is delighted to be working with Rogue Theatre again at the Port Eliot Festival  between 23^rd and 25^th July this year, managing the Green Room for the 25 Tent.  

In case you don’t know, ‘25’ is a place to showcase the rich and diverse talent of young people in Cornwall up to the age of 25.  The Green Room will be a space for the young performers to relax, network, receive music industry advice, sign up to and create content for CYMAZ Radio.  

The festival is providing CYMAZ with the opportunity to launch CYMAZ Radio and the Young People’s Music and Radio Network in Cornwall and we will be creating a radio show on each day of the festival.  To get a taste of what goes on in the 25 Tent, click here to go to our Radio Podcast page and listen to the radio programme that we made at Port Eliot last year.
