FEAST – Get Cornwall Singing

As part of Cornwall’s Cultural Strategy, CYMAZ was invited to set the tone!

Singing runs through our veins, it’s helped shape our cultural history and its popularity today is increasing across all generations.   As part of the FEAST programme, CYMAZ worked in partnership with highly acclaimed Cornish maestro Vicky Abbot (Wildworks MD, Acorn Arts Centre, Eden Choir Leader) to keep singing in the heart of our communities.  Over the course of 2009 we provided a fantastic range of training and mentoring opportunities for people to train and build skills as Community Choir leaders, to lead and form choirs in their communities.

Since the Get Cornwall Singing course, several new community choirs were set up and established by the newly skilled team. Please click here to read the final evaluation from the project.
